Elkhart Lake

After tree removal in the morning we spent the afternoon at Elkhart Lake.

Tree removal

We had a tree removal service take out the big ash tree that was dead
by the river before it falls and causes problems like last week. Our
neighbor also helped by taking out three dead elms on his side. Aden
liked that I got to use his tractor to help pull them over to land in
the right spot.

Now we are breaking "down" the house

There have been two powerful storms in the last 24 hours, both with wind gusts around 60 mph... The first storm (last night) caused a section of our pier to disconnect, and it also blew the bench off the end of the pier. We found the section of pier across the creek at the neighbor's, but we still haven't found the bench :( The next storm was this afternoon and it blew down a dead/dying elm tree. It unfortunately fell into/onto our property. This incident took with it part of our fence, shingles, a little roof, and the Goehre's pool.

The last 24 hours has had two powerful storms... The first storm caused a chunk of our pier to disconnect and blow into the creek. We also can't find the bench for the pier :( The next storm broke a dead tree and unfortunately it fell into/onto our property. This incident took with it part of our fence, shingles, a little roof, and the Goehre's pool.
