Conan at American Girl Store

We were watching Conan the other night and he did a visit to the American Girl store. We recorded it and showed Addie the next day. Now Addie and Aden both watch it frequently and say things like "You work at Guantanamo" when they annoy each other.

The kids visit Santa

We went to the Oshkosh Celebration of Lights on Friday night and the kids met with Santa. Addie asked for an American Girl doll and Aden asked for Forza 4 (race car video game). Videos are linked below.

Addie Piano Party

Addie had her second piano party Nov.2. Here are videos of two of the songs she played. She really likes piano so far. One of her favorite things to do is play "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and "Mary Had a Little Lamb" while turning her head away from the keyboard. We should get a video of it some time. She is very proud of it.

Karting at Road America

Aden tried a race kart at Road America Oct 11 and forgot to post this video at the time. He is hoping to race in the kids race series next year. Probably the Briggs 206 Sport class.

Late season lift removal

Probably should have taken the jet ski lift out sooner this year since
it was down to about 2F last night. Froze up the water near shore
pretty thick. I had to bang some ice loose around the lift to break it
free and them use some lumber as ramps to get it on top of the ice.
Once it was on top of the ice it slid easy. Now that it's on top of
the ice it's probably good for now but should eventually put it back
by the garage.

The boat lift can stay in since it's steel. Only issue would be if a
huge ice shove pushed it into the rocks. The shallow water and the
point prevent shoves by us.

Rain Gutter Regatta

Aden had fun at the Rain Gutter Regatta tonight. He won 2/4 races
(L-W-W-L) with his boat modeled after Oracle Team USA.

Rain Gutter Regatta is tonight

Aden's boat is all ready for the Boy Scouts Rain Gutter Regatta
tonight. Last time he did it was with a monohull - those were very
tippy. Now they use a catamaran which is much more stable. Aden
designed his after the Oracle Team USA America's Cup winner.

Addie's Halloween Costume

Addie was a vampire. These pictures are from our visit to the Twin Cities. We visited a park that had a bunch of activities for the kids on Halloween.

Al Johnson

We had a fun time visiting Adam, Shannon, and Alex in Minnesota this weekend. We'll post a photo album soon from all the fun times. For now, here's a picture of Big Al Johnson.

Labor Day 3

It wouldn't be Labor Day weekend without a trip to the "The Fair"! We had a great time...ate yummy fair corn, milked "Addie the cow," saw the Lumberjack show, rode ALL the tractors, all the kids went in the Aqua balls, and rounded out the night with a crazy Grandpa Cratchett show.

Labor Day 2

We went to a fun party at the Goehre's! Lots of yummy BBQ, a huge jump house(didn't manage to get a pic of the kids in it?), and lots of water ballon and water hose fights.

Labor Day Weekend Fun

We started the weekend with a beautiful beach day! We did a little bit of everything... keep-away, kayaking (with Adalin as the motor), and of course, there is always windsurfing!

Mom/daughter and father/son/Grandpa Night

Grandpa Wayne, Dad, andAden went to let Aden try racing at the Beaver Dam Tuesday night race series. Aden was a natural.
While the boys played at the track... Mom and Addie did some of our favorite things together - shopped, had our nails done, and went to a yummy dinner!
