Although this post is also WAY late, it is somewhat fitting to post it
now. The Badgers earned a #2 seed for March Madness this year. Back
during Christmas break we went to a game at the Kohl Center. We had
nosebleed seats but everyone had fun. Aden got to meet Bucky while we
were sitting by a friend that was closer to the court. Addie was not
happy about missing out on Bucky but she did get her picture with a
cutout Bucky. Hopefully she'll meet Bucky next time.
Speaking of cutouts - the last picture is from when Aden met A-Rog at
a Ford dealership. They talked about their mutual fondness for Ford
trucks!

Christmas 2013
Got a little distracted on the order of posts but had to put up some
of the cute pictures of the kids while I was looking at them.
Catching back up on the last few months: here's Christmas...
The first two pictures are from St Nicks day. Adalin got a Rainbow
Loom and has been making brackets, necklaces, you name it ever since.
She loves it.
The next set of pictures are some gift opening at our house. The kids
got snow shoes. They apparently think that's hilarious. Adalin got a
baby crib that connects to her own bed. She loves that too - maybe
more than the Rainbow Loom. It's close.
The next set of pictures are from gift opening at Grandpa and Grandma
Anderson's house. Aden got a tractor/farming game that he loves. And a
funny hat.

Badgers need rest
The kids were out of gas on the trip back from the Kohl Center. And
yes, Tracy texted me from the back to turn around and look at them.

Aden basketball at St Mary Springs
Aden did a month of basketball camp at Do It All Sports and it
included a basketball display during halftime of a Varsity game at
Springs. Aden got a trophy for his hard work.

Christmas caroling
Adalin went Christmas caroling and read stories at a retirement home
with her Girl Scout troupe. She was very sweet with the residents. She
would read louder whenever the residents asked- and we know she has a
big voice to do it. She also would tell stories about her family,
especially Aden.

Throwback Christmas photos
Here are a couple pictures with the kids from before we had the blog.
Adalin is holding "Baby Dear" that has the same dress as her. She
named her "Baby Dear" because she has a story book where the little
girl names her doll Baby Dear.
Aden got a Superman cape one year for Christmas. And if you get a
Superman cape you need to run around with that Superman cape.

Mom's helper
Adalin loves helping Mom in the kitchen. She was making pancakes one
morning and rolling cookie dough another day during Christmas break.
Aden is waiting at the table to eat everything :)

Elf on the shelf 1
An Elf on the shelf showed up at our house this year to keep an eye on
the kids before Christmas. Addie named him Jim. She was always very
excited to tell us about the places she found Jim around the house.

Christmas concert 2013
This post is about 3 months behind, but better late than never. Going
through photos while flying to California to see Andrew, Devon, Arjen,
and Gus.
Here is Adalin and Aden at their Christmas concert at Hope Lutheran.

Girl Scout Cookies
Adalin started Girl Scouts this year - so this is her first time
selling Girl Scout Cookies. She did a great job getting orders and
organizing all the boxes for delivery.

Lunch date
I went to lunch with the kids at school one day. Addie's recess was
between their lunch periods. She was having fun on the playground, but
I think she liked "spying" on Aden even more from the hallway while
she changed back to her school clothes.
Their classrooms are on the same hall and their locker areas are
almost directly across from each other.

Goofballs
They might not always admit it, but they have fun together.
In the picture of them eating together they're at Eden Grill. Tracy
and I were there too, but the kids decided they wanted to sit together
away from us - so they could talk. Adalin likes to see if Aden knows
anything "juicy" from school. He never does - I don't think he even
knows what she means when she asks. But he likes hearing her stories.
The first letter is Addie asking Aden "Will you be my cat owner?" She
likes to pretend she is a cat at the pound (or dog or fawn or any
other kind of abandoned animal) and have somebody rescue her and take
her home.
The second letter she is pretending to have a toy drive for Aden using
toys of his she found around the house. He should "tack am" (take
them).
